1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Milestone Album and related Baby Milestone services:

• Account Information: Email address and password for authentication
• Baby Profiles: Baby names, birth dates, and gender (optional)
• Photos & Media: Photos you upload to track milestones
• Milestone Data: Growth records, journal entries, and milestone achievements
• Usage Analytics: Anonymous app usage data to improve our service

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Provide and maintain Milestone Album and related Baby Milestone services
• Sync your data across devices (premium feature)
• Enable family sharing features (premium feature)
• Send milestone reminders and notifications (with your permission)
• Improve our app based on anonymous usage patterns

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely:

• Local Storage: Data is stored on your device first (local-first architecture)
• Cloud Storage: Premium users' data syncs to Supabase (secure, encrypted servers)
• Photos: Stored in secure cloud storage with access controls
• Encryption: All data transmitted using TLS/SSL encryption

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your data. We only share data:

• With family members you explicitly invite (Family Sharing feature)
• With Canva when you use the Milestone Album plugin (only photos you select)
• With service providers necessary to operate our service (cloud hosting)
• When required by law

5. Canva Integration

When using Milestone Album for Canva:

• You must log in with your Baby Milestone account
• Only your photos are accessible through your authenticated account
• Photos you add to Canva designs are uploaded to your Canva account
• We do not access your Canva designs or other Canva data

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all data we have about you
• Export: Download your data (available in app settings)
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and all data
• Correct: Update or correct your information

7. Children's Privacy

Milestone Album is intended for parents and guardians to manage milestone photos and related records. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. All data is provided by and controlled by the parent or guardian account holder.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Account data is deleted within 30 days
• Photos are removed from cloud storage within 30 days
• Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
